Barry Keoghan shared unusual comments about his pop star girlfriend Sabrina Carpenter this week.
The Saltburn star, 32, gushed about her relationship with the Espresso hitmaker, 25, when asked directly about it on The Louis Theroux podcast from Spotify.
“Oh, I knew you’d do this,” he responded to the host, laughing.
He went on to praise Carpenter, who is currently on a sold-out tour, for her incredible talent and said he felt “blessed” to be dating her.

The couple has been dating since late 2023, but has kept their romance relatively low-key.
They haven’t made their red carpet debut yet, but they posed together at the 2024 Met Gala in May.
Last month, Sabrina opened up about casting her real-life boyfriend and on-screen love interest in her Please Please Please music video, which was released in June.
She told the hosts CBS Sunday morning that she trusted his ‘unbiased opinion’ when she decided to have him play the ‘bad boy’ in the music video.
“I, genuinely, as a not even biased opinion, thought, ‘Who is the best actor I can find for this music video?’ And he was next to me in a chair,” he recalled.
“And he was very excited about it,” she said of Keoghan’s reaction.
The single, which was the second from his hit album Short n’ Sweet, is speculated to contain cheeky references to The Batman star.
When asked if the father-of-one is a fan of the album and the rest of her discography, the singer gushed that he liked it “a lot.”

In August, the Don’t Smile singer gushed about her man’s talent, calling him “one of the best actors of this generation.”
She told Variety: “I don’t want to sound biased, but I think he’s one of the best actors of this generation.”
“So seeing it on the screen with my song as the soundtrack made the video better and even more special.”
Days later, he told The Guardian that getting close to the Saltburn star in the video was “one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.”
“I feel very honored to be able to work with such a great actor,” she told the outlet.
Sabrina explained that she is cautious about keeping her relationship private, but understands that publicity is the price of fame.
“It’s not what I signed up for, but I can’t really help when I was born,” he said.
“I want to be honest: I just want to write about what’s happening in my life when I’m 25,” she added.
