Barron Trump’s new classmates at New York University have shared their thoughts on the former president’s son.
The 18-year-old began studying at the Stern School of Business this week, his father Donald Trump confirmed.
Now his teammates have shared their thoughts on the freshman, with mixed responses to his arrival.
One student suggested that Barron would have to adopt a progressive perspective if he wanted any chance of romancing the students at the notoriously left-wing university.
“He goes to NYU, so if he’s interested in girls, he’ll be a little liberal, I can tell you that,” one student told DailyMail.com.

However, it doesn’t seem like he’ll have any problems in that regard, as one classmate admitted: “My mother will want me to marry him.”
Several said they were willing to judge Barron on his own merits rather than preconceptions.
“I feel really bad for him, he didn’t choose this life,” one student said, adding that she was “excited and intrigued” by the prospect of Secret Service personnel being on campus.
“Her dad is her dad and he’s his own person so I’m not going to judge,” another agreed, adding that she would definitely consider a friendship.
“Of course, who wouldn’t want to be friends with a Trump?” he said.
Reactions to his arrival ranged from disbelief to disgust. One student told DailyMail.com that she felt bad that Barron was inheriting the media attention and that her mother was trying to get her to marry him.
Another said he would like to engage in a relationship to produce a ‘dissent track against Kamala’ in reference to Vice President Harris.
However, not everyone was so positive: One student said she “absolutely would not” be friends with Barron.
“This reflects the privilege that many young people at NYU have. I am here solely because of financial aid.”
Barron joined the freshmen who arrived in New York for the new school year.
Her college choice was kept a secret until her father confirmed it to DailyMail.com and revealed that she could have chosen any college she wanted.
“He was accepted into many universities,” said the proud father.
“He’s a very smart guy and he’s going to Stern, the business school, which is a great school at New York University.”
This student said he would be willing to meet with Barron to write a dissertation topic on Vice President Kamala Harris.
One student suggested that Barron would have to adopt a liberal politics to have any chance of romance with the students at the progressive university.
Stern is one of the top business schools in the United States, with a highly selective undergraduate program: only 1 in 20 applicants succeed.
Famous alumni include Alan Greenspan, former chairman of the Federal Reserve, and Kenneth Langone, founding financier of Home Depot.
Barron is the youngest son of the former president and his wife Melania.
He graduated in May from the prestigious Oxbridge Academy in Palm Beach.
Trump said his son considered following in his father’s footsteps at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, but ultimately opted for New York University.
“It’s a very high-quality place. He liked it. He liked the school,” Trump told DailyMail.com.

Several classmates, including this student, said they would judge Barron based on his character and not his last name.
Barron Trump, 18, graduated from Oxbridge Academy in Palm Beach, Florida, in May.
“We chose Stern. He’s a very talented kid, but he’s not a kid anymore. He’s just moved on to something more than childhood. He’s doing very well.”
Trump said his son planned to continue playing soccer in college. He is known for his soccer fanaticism and has played on one of DC United’s youth teams.
The New York University campus is not far from Trump Tower in Manhattan, where Barron spent much of his childhood before his father became president.
