Barnaby Joyce sent a thank you note to Kyle Sandilands after the radio host expressed his support for the former deputy prime minister when he was found lying on a footpath in Canberra earlier this month.

Co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, 49, read the letter live on Wednesday morning after believing the note was intended for her.

It read: ‘Dear Kyle, this is just a quick thank you for your support during the little break I had! Anyway, it’s my fault but his support is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Barnaby.’

“Oh, that’s nice, add it to Barnaby’s other thank you letters,” Sandilands, 52, joked in response.

Daily Mail Australia revealed the exclusive video of Joyce, 56, lying on the sidewalk on Lonsdale Street in the Canberra suburb of Braddon around midnight three weeks ago.

Despite the couple’s turbulent history, Sandilands chose to defend Joyce by criticizing the person who filmed him amid calls for the MP to resign.

“Instead of the guy offering him help, like in the TikTok era, the guy thought it would be funny to film him and not even ask him, ‘Are you okay?'” “That’s bullshit,” Sandilands said at the time.

Joyce will take time off from Parliament this week after being urged to take leave to deal with “personal matters”.

Sources said the Nationals leader was sitting in a large flower pot while having an animated telephone conversation with his wife, Vikki Campion, when he fell, “rolled” on the floor and continued his call.

Joyce has since blamed mixing prescription medications with alcohol for her behavior.

Sandilands’ feud with Joyce began when the politician lodged an official complaint with the media watchdog in 2015, after the radio host verbally abused him during an on-air row.
