Barcelona ‘will try and sign both Neymar and Antoine Griezmann this summer’ as they plot a major strengthening of their forward line.
Spanish newspaper Sport report their ambitious plans as they bid to conquer Europe once again following last season’s Champions League semi-final collapse against Liverpool.
The Nou Camp club note it will be a difficult task to sign their former Brazilian star Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain and the French forward Griezmann from Atletico Madrid in the same window.

Barcelona also reportedly believe they can sign Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann
But with a £89.3million part-exchange deal being mooted for Neymar and Griezmann’s release clause dropping to £107m from £178.5m on July 1, they are reportedly optimistic on both fronts.
Philippe Coutinho, Ivan Rakitic and Samuel Umtiti are the three names shortlisted to be offered to PSG in order to seal Neymar’s return two years after his world record £196m move to Paris.
Club president Josep Maria Bartomeu has apparently sanctioned the double swoop having seen his team surrender a three-goal advantage to lose 4-0 to Liverpool and miss out on the Champions League final in Madrid.

If combined with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, Neymar and Griezmann would give Barcelona arguably the most formidable front line in world football.
But, as Sport say, it would be a very complex strategy to sign both players given their wage demands.
Griezmann is still viewed as the more realistic of the two targets given he has already made plain his desire to leave Atletico.
Neymar is similarly unsettled at PSG but Barcelona are braced for competition from Real Madrid for the Brazilian.
