He also missed a penalty, as Inter lost 2-1 to Bologna over the weekend.
Now Inter-CEO Marotta, who hates to let the 22-year-old leave, says Martinez to rediscover his “peace of mind” and focus on finding his form.
“There are two factors to take into account, the competitive and the transfer market, which run simultaneously,” Marotta told Sky Sport Italia.
“Inter doesn’t want to sell a 22-year-old boy like him, but this is a time when rumors are going around.

“We saw Lautaro the big player in the first half of the season, which caught the attention of big clubs.
“Now he needs to find peace of mind to guarantee Inter the performance levels he showed in the first half of the season.”
Inter are third in the Serie A table and will play Verona on Thursday as they look for a place in the Champions League.
