Barcelona ‘will make Lautaro Martinez their Plan B if they can’t sign Erling Haaland this summer’ with cash constraints Inter Milan expected to cut their asking price of £ 94 million … but ‘Ronald Koeman is NOT on board with a move for the Argentinian forward ‘
- Barcelona could rekindle their interest in Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez
- They tried to sign the Argentinian last year, but the £ 94 million prize turned out to be above them
- Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland remains the No 1 target for the summer
- But Martinez has reportedly emerged as a Plan B like Barca Norwegian can’t sign
- Coach Ronald Koeman is not convinced of Martinez and his capabilities
Barcelona ‘could revive their interest in Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez’ if Erling Haaland turns out to be too expensive this summer.
The Nou Camp side was strongly linked to the Argentinian last year, but the big money movement did not materialize for financial reasons.
With Barcelona still looking for a world-class striker, Borussia Dortmund star Haaland is the first choice, but will cost over £ 150 million and draw interest from several leading clubs.

With that in mind, Sports diary say Martinez, who has scored 16 goals for the Serie A leaders this season, has been identified as a possible plan B.
They report that Martinez, 23, still wants to play for Barcelona, especially if his fellow countryman Lionel Messi stays with the club.
What’s more, Inter has its own financial problems and has to pay off a price advantage during the summer period.

Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman is not convinced that Martinez is the right person for Barcelona
Martinez could be that man, with Barcelona reportedly convinced they could sign him this year at a price significantly lower than the £ 94 million that was his release clause until July last year.
One problem, however, is that coach Ronald Koeman is not entirely convinced that Martinez is the player Barcelona needs and that they would only go after him if they couldn’t sign Haaland.
Haaland’s father Alfie and his agent Mino Raiola visited Barcelona earlier this week for talks before going to a meeting with Real Madrid, another interested party.

Dortmund, for their part, insist that Haaland with a rating of £ 154 million is not for sale. Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea have also been linked with the Norwegian star.
Martinez, who has 11 international goals in 21 appearances for Argentina, hopes to give Inter their first Scudetto since 2010.
They are six points ahead of rivals AC Milan at the top of the table and still have a game in hand.
