Shark Tank Judge Barbara Corcoran has been cheated for nearly $ 400,000 after a phishing scam had instructed her accountant to transfer money to fraudsters.

The 70-year-old businesswoman was the victim last week when her accountant Christine received an e-mail chain that looked like it contained the data from her assistant Emily.

However, cheaters had instructed Christine to pay $ 388,700.11 to a company named FFH Concept GmbH in Germany, TMZ reports.

The schedule was drawn using an email address that was identical except for one character.

In the announcement, Christine replied that she asked for the money for which it is.

The telephones tell her that FFH – a real company – designs apartments in which the TV star has invested.

On Tuesday, Christine transferred the money to the account mentioned in the email.

Corcoran’s team only realized what had happened after Christine Emily sent an email to her real address and the assistant suspected something was wrong.

Emily then noticed that her email address was incorrect in the previous chain.

The Corcoran team has traced the IP address to China.

TMZ reports that its lawyers are considering their next steps.
