The body of a young reveler was found in Sydney Harbor after he went missing during a night out with his friends.
The man, 26, was last seen in Darling Harbor’s King Street Wharf at around 3.30am on Sunday after drinking and partying with friends at Bungalow 8 nightclub.
It was feared that he had fallen into the water and no trace of him has been left since.
The man was reported missing 15 hours later, around 6pm on Sunday, when PolAir police and maritime command launched an air and water search.
Police divers launched a desperate search for the missing man on Sunday night, last seen at King Street Wharf 15 hours earlier (pictured).
The extensive search was suspended after several hours.
Police divers resumed their search at the harbor on Monday and located the man’s body in the water at Barangaroo about 12:45 p.m.
“Although the body has not yet been formally identified, it is believed to be that of a 26-year-old man,” a police statement read.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
Bungalow8 has confirmed that the missing man had spent his final hours at the location drinking with friends early Sunday morning.
“Our thoughts are with the individual’s family and loved ones during this time,” a spokesperson said.
