Last week, Obama was treated to an impromptu serenade by an all-female choir during his visit to the Danish capital of Copenhagen.
Obama was in town for the 2022 Copenhagen Democracy Summit when he heard a choir rehearsing on a balcony opposite Hotel d’Angleterre, where he was staying.
The curious former president called up and asked them what they were doing, to which the girls answered in chorus: ‘We are singing!’
Obama wished the choir to sing for him, to which – with some incredulity – they duly obliged, delighting the first black president and gifting the girls an unforgettable moment.
The Ung Klang choir sang a rendition of the tune ‘In Denmark I was Born’ to the former President, who waved to the group and gestured with his hand to one ear, saying: ‘Wow, that was fantastic!’
President Obama was with Obama Foundation Leaders from across Europe to close the 2022 Copenhagen Democracy Summit with a session entitled, ‘Democratic Organizing in the Digital Age’ last Friday.
He then participated in interactive workshops with various foundation leaders focusing on challenges the leaders face in their regions and ideas for high impact advancements.

Meanwhile, back in the United States, Obama’s wife, former First Lady Michelle Obama, was spotted in New York City over the weekend taking time to enjoy the city with some of her girlfriends.
Obama was seen coming out of one of the city’s most opulent hotels, The Pierre, situated across the street from Central Park as she was flanked by her Secret Service detail and escorted with the help NYPD police officers in convoy.
On Saturday afternoon, Michelle and her friends took the time to see the Broadway show ‘A Strange Loop’ at the Lyceum Theatre. The new musical which opened earlier this year won a Tony award for ‘Best Musical’ on Sunday.

While the Obamas continued their travels separately, their daughters were spotted out in California where the crippling cost of living in the US is taking its toll on almost everyone – even former First Daughters.
Sasha Obama, 21, wore a rather pained expression as she filled up her car with gas on Monday, hours after the average national price soared to more than $5 a gallon for the first time in history.
Sasha was pictured pumping gas at a Mobil station in Los Angeles – where prices were listed at a staggering $7.69-per-gallon for Regular Unleaded and $7.79 for Premium Unleaded.
The college student is though to be driving a Subaru Outback, an SUV that starts at $27,645 for a base 2022 model and goes up to $40,645 for the highest-end option.
Depending on the model that Sasha has, she would likely have had to fill it up with either Regular Unleaded or Premium; the 2022 models have an 18.5 gallon tank, which means the price of filling it up completely would have been over $142 for regular fuel, or more than $144 for premium at the station where she was seen getting gas.
Gas prices are up $1.94 from this time last year, spiking 50 cents in the last month alone, according to the AAA Gas Price Index.
California, where Sasha moved to during the pandemic after transferring from the University of Michigan to the University of Southern California, currently has the highest prices of any state in the US, with figures released on Monday revealing a state-wide average price of $6.44-per-gallon.
Speaking to reporters on Saturday, President Joe Biden – who served as Vice President to Sasha’s father, former President Obama for eight years – said Russia’s war in Ukraine was the blame for the surge in the cost in the price of oil and gas.
Sasha Obama looked less than thrilled as she filled up her car with gas on Monday – shortly after it was revealed that the average national price from gas has soared to a whopping $5.014
Last week, the Obamas oldest daughter 23-year-old Malia was seen enjoying her California-cool lifestyle as she left a restaurant with friends in Los Angeles, keeping things casual in a vintage tee paired with black pants and Birkenstocks.
Malia, who is a writer on Donald Glover’s upcoming Amazon project, Hive, was photographed leaving the upscale Crossroads Kitchen in West Hollywood which serves small plates of vegan dishes in an elegant atmosphere.
Malia relocated to Los Angeles for her first Hollywood gig.
