A wild brawl broke out at a youth rugby league match in Sydney, where a man was knocked to the ground and had his head stamped on.

Shocking footage has captured the moment a wild brawl broke out at a junior rugby league match in Sydney.

During Saturday’s U13 Division 1 semi-final match between Bankstown Balls and Cabramatta, opposing spectators invaded the pitch and became involved in an on-field brawl.

A 36-year-old man was reportedly knocked to the ground and had his head stomped on by a 39-year-old man.

Police have launched an investigation and have asked anyone with footage of the fight to contact Bankstown Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

This comes a week after a teenager was charged with assault after allegedly punching a player from another team in the face during an under-17s match at Glenbrook.

The alleged incident took place during a match between Blue Mountains FC and Emu Plains FC in Glenbrook.

The 17-year-old Blue Mountains FC player allegedly punched a 16-year-old Emu Plains FC player, resulting in the younger player being hospitalised.

He was expelled from his club after the alleged incident.
