A Dallas woman who had to fight for her life after being involved in a horrific hit-and-run accident that killed her roommate has been breathing without assistance for the first time in two months.

Camryn Herriage, 23, was left breathing on a ventilator after she was involved in a car accident along with her college roommate and three other friends on February 11.
