Christie Swadling’s fiancé Joel Price disappeared from her social media after he was served with a restraining order and charged with domestic violence-related common assault.
Price, 38, was given an interim Arrested Violence Order (AVO) by NSW Police on behalf of Swadling, 27, in April after being charged with assault. He has pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The couple began dating in 2020 before Price got down on one knee and proposed the following year.
But Swadling, who overcame an eating disorder and now promotes a healthy, active lifestyle, is understood to have deleted all of her influencer partner’s recent gym content from her Instagram account.
The matters were last mentioned in court on Tuesday, May 14, and will be heard in the same court on August 6.
The couple often posted videos and photos together while working out at the gym and going on lavish vacations, sometimes featuring Price’s 12-year-old son, Kaden, in their content.
Swadling removed the most recent images and videos of her partner from her Instagram account, but it is understood they still follow each other.
The Lake Macquarie-based gym influencer has since embarked on a new business venture with her friend Courtney Princic, creating a podcast titled Voice The Difference.

It replaces Swadling’s Yo Balance Co podcast, on which her fiancé occasionally appeared.

Meanwhile, almost a month after Price’s court appearance, Swadling shared footage of her fiancé Joel Price, 38, driving dangerously, using his knees to steer the wheel of his car while punching the air with his hands.
The couple was singing and dancing to Awolnation’s song Sail when Price let go of the steering wheel and began playing the drum. It is not suggested that any contravention of the AVO occurred during the events being filmed.

Trying to keep the steering wheel straight, Price used his knees to steer the large vehicle.

In New South Wales, there is a fine of up to $2,200 for drivers and passengers over 16 years of age who do not wear their seat belt properly adjusted and fastened if the vehicle is moving or stationary, but not parked, unless it is giving reverse.
In 2022, Swadling filed for bankruptcy after accumulating a large amount of debt that he cannot pay.

On April 20, Swadling went to court for a financial examination to evaluate his property and financial circumstances as a means to satisfy the judgment debt.
She carried a Louis Vuitton bag valued at $2,840 while preparing for the exam to determine her ability to pay her debts.
