Weight Watchers: Andrew Bailey, Banking Director

Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey is already winning the battle against rising prices – and now he’s losing pounds of another kind, too.

Bailey responded to a question about her new slim look by admitting that her weight loss efforts have paid off. Asked if she had been doing any exercise regime, she told the Sunday Times: “You’re right.

‘It had been a fruitless ambition for a long time, but this summer I have achieved success.

“I’m happy to cut something else besides inflation.”

The revelation came after Bailey attended the Jackson Hole central bankers conference in the US state of Wyoming last week.

A bank spokesman declined to comment when asked whether, like others, the governor had turned to the weight-loss drug Ozempic to help him slim down.
