Police added that there were no signs of trauma to the athlete’s body.

In a tribute to the fallen star Wednesday, the Ravens said Ferguson was “lost way too soon.”

“We are deeply saddened by the tragic passing of Jaylon Ferguson,” the team wrote of the player, who reportedly participated in all of the team’s offseason training sessions this year and was in the best shape of his career.

“He was a lovely, respectful young man with a big smile and an infectious personality,” the team added.

“We extend our sincere condolences to Jaylon’s family and friends as we mourn a life lost much too soon.”

Ferguson, who had a notable career at Louisiana Tech University before being drafted by the team in 2019, was also remembered by his agent Safarrah Lawson, in her own statement.
