A 15-year-old dancer tragically died in a horrific boat accident while water skiing on a Miami beach.
Ella Riley Adler lost her life Saturday afternoon off Key Biscayne’s Nixon Beach when a boater collided with her before speeding away from the scene.
Reports indicate that the boat’s alleged driver has not yet been arrested, and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) said the boater was last seen heading west from Nixon Beach.
Adler was reportedly celebrating a friend’s birthday at the time of the accident, and a lifeguard told him WSVN They arrived at the scene and found “a lot of blood in the water.”

“He was wearing a life jacket and ski boards on his feet,” said FWC spokesman George Reynaud.
He said authorities are still searching for the pilot of the boat that hit her and described it as “white to light blue in color, with blue or dark blue bottom paint.”
Reynaud added that the ship had two engines on board, “but could have up to four wide engines on board according to different witness reports.”
Authorities are offering a reward of up to $20,000 for information leading to the suspect, including $5,000 in Stoppers against crime in Miami-Dade.
Ella’s devastated family said she “loved to dance” and was a celebrated local dancer who took part in performances of The Nutcracker.
