Police have appealed for public information about the driver of a gray ute after it is alleged he committed a series of lewd acts in front of children.
Security footage captured the ute driving slowly into nearby pedestrians during six incidents at locations in Ballarat, 120 kilometers northeast of Melbourne, since April 10.
Victoria Police allege an unidentified man in the van “exposed himself and performed a sexual act in the presence of the victims” in five of those incidents.
Four of those incidents occurred in front of children between the ages of 10 and 14.
Police have asked the public to help identify the driver of a silver Mazda BT-50 (pictured) who allegedly exposed himself to the children.
The driver is believed to have driven slowly near pedestrians in locations around Ballarat six times since April 10.
Investigators say the driver is a middle-aged Caucasian man.
Police have released images of the car believed to have been involved in the lewd acts in an appeal for information from the public.
It shows the car driving through Wendouree, in north-west Ballarat and in East Ballarat.
The car is believed to be a Mazda BT-50 with a freestyle cab, steel tray, silver crash bar and dark colored wheels.
Anyone with information has been urged to contact police.
