Two people have been taken to hospital after being stabbed on Sydney’s northern beaches.

Emergency services were called to West Street in Balgowlah at around 5.45am on Monday to find a man and woman, both in their 30s, with stab wounds.

Paramedics treated the pair at the scene before they were taken to Royal North Shore Hospital.

The man is in a serious condition, while the woman is stable but seriously injured.

Police have established a crime scene and the investigation continues.
