Balenciaga stiletto crocs now exist — and social media users are shocked by the expensive fashion item.
The luxury fashion house from Paris has teamed up with Crocs to create stiletto clogs. a combination of the classic resin shoe with a sturdy raised heel in various bright colors.
It’s unclear how much the shoes, which will be released in 2022, will cost, but a previous collaboration between Balenciaga and Crocs cost shoppers £600, rather than £39.99 that a regular pair of Crocs usually costs.
They received mixed reactions online, with some Twitter users saying the shoes were “painful” and unnecessary, and others saying they couldn’t wait to get their toes on a pair.

Online, people had mixed feelings about the new shoes and many were not convinced by the collaboration.
“I mean…wtf Balenciaga and Crocs think they are doing with this,” one wrote.

“I love crocs, but a Balenciaga x Crocs collab is what we do NOT need,” added someone else.
‘What’s wrong with people at Balenciaga? I can’t decide if it’s a joke or just making fun of people buying these,” said another user.
‘Please do not. This is painful,’ someone else commented.
Several others simply tweeted “no,” while others shared gifs to show their displeasure with the footwear.
The shoes will be available in several colors, including black, and their price is still unknown for their release next year
While many people were baffled by the design, some users are already wondering how to get their hands on a pair.
“I need those crocodiles ASAP,” one person said.
“Anyone with information on how to get the Balenciaga crocodiles will be richly rewarded,” wrote another.
This isn’t the first time Balenciaga and Crocs have teamed up.
In 2017, Demna Gvasalia and Christopher Kane even called the brand’s iconic shoes the ‘comfiest shoes in the world’.
“We were inspired by Crocs and we worked with them on a reinterpretation of Balenciaga,” Demna told French Vogue in 2017.
Balenciaga x Crocs is not impossible, the question of taste is a very subjective value.
“We’ll see if this works in the stores in six months.”
