A bald man was left in disbelief after a stunning transformation gave him a full head of hair which his fans say makes him look “much younger”.
The 26-year-old visited a salon in the north-east of England, but little did he know he would return a new man with a host of new fans.
Hairdresser Rob Wood, owner of Novo Cabelo salons, worked his magic on young Jake, who said he had first noticed his hair was thinning at the age of 18.
Speaking before the makeover, Jake said he thought what was “really complicated” was “having to think about it constantly”.
‘You’re always thinking: Do I look good and am I okay?’ said.
Jake, 26, told Rob Wood the story of how his hair started falling out when he was 18 and explained why he was interested in the transplant.
The 26-year-old agreed with the suggestion that a ‘gentleman’s scissor cut’ could be a good style choice.
The nimble-fingered barber told Jake he could have whatever style his heart desired, but added that he thought it would be nice to have a “gentleman’s scissor cut.”
Jake seemed a little unsure initially about what the outcome might be, but was visibly surprised when he took off a pair of sunglasses to see the change.
Rob cut and shaved Jake’s hair and carefully selected real human hair to match Jake’s color, texture and style.
Also known as Mr Cabelo, the specialist barber is known for his use of hair systems – a hair replacement system, also known as a hairpiece, toupee or wig, which is attached to the scalp with adhesives, clips or weave.
According to Rob, the hair system can last four to six months, but needs to be readjusted every three to four weeks.
Jake exclaimed, laughing, “that’s crazy” and “that’s amazing,” after the big reveal, running his fingers through the thick dark brown hair he’d left slicked back on his head.
TikTok users were quick to share their thoughts and praise after the video was uploaded to the popular social media platform.
Many people noted that Jake looked “much younger” after the transformation.
Jake wore a special pair of glasses before the big reveal, which meant viewers got to see his surprise first-hand.
The young man was visibly stunned and incredulous after seeing the result, saying ‘that’s incredible’ and ‘that’s crazy’.

Jake described the transformation as “amazing” and other people also noted that he looked “so much younger.”

Speaking about his story, Rob told MailOnline: ‘It all started 10 years ago. One of the girls who worked for me, her brother-in-law, was really struggling with her mental health related to hair loss.
“So, I did a little research on YouTube and research to see what was really out there and what we could do, and that’s when I found hair systems.”
After trying the hair system with his colleague’s brother-in-law. Rob decided to open Novo Cabelo and specialize in hair loss treatment for everyone.
