Crown viewers were left baffled after it received an incredible eight BAFTA TV Awards nominations, as they branded the sixth series “mediocre”.
The TV BAFTA nominations were revealed in March
ahead of the May 12 ceremony, with The Crown leading the way with the most total nods.
The Netflix hit has been nominated in major categories, including Best Actor, Supporting Actor and Supporting Actress.
But critics of the royal drama have suggested it did not deserve the accolades, saying it has “gone downhill” and become a “snooze fest”.
Some concluded that while the six-series drama got off to a good start, it is not as entertaining as it was when it began in 2016.
