The bidder for the block, Adrian ‘Mr. Lambo’ Portelli recently downsized from an $800,000 sports car to a $40,000 Audi after complaining that he was bragging about his lifestyle.
But the millionaire real estate investor, 35, ignored the criticism on Tuesday as he showed off his latest purchase on Instagram.
Adrian, known for his multi-million-dollar sports car collection, shared a photo of his new Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722S after purchasing it in London.
Mercedes has only built 150 units of this convertible and a similar high-performance supercar sold in 2018 for more than 2 million Australian dollars. Engine1 reported.
In the photo, Adrian couldn’t wipe the smile off his face as he posed next to his new car with his private jet in the background.

“So I’ve decided to tone it down and drive my little Audi A1 for a while.”
However, fans were quick to notice that the vehicle sported a unique license plate that read “20,” with one person claiming that the cost of purchasing that license plate would have exceeded the price of the car.
“I think your license plate is worth more than my car,” one follower wrote, and a second person added: “It sold on Tuesday for $2.54 million.”
