Although phones are not allowed in The Bachelor, the producers of the hit reality show made a couple of exceptions for the single mothers featured in the series.
Speaking to E! Last Thursday, the ousted contestant Ashlea Harvey admitted that she and her mother, Dasha Gaivoronski, were allowed to register with their loved ones at home.
"We were very lucky to have conversations with our children," Ashlea, 30, told E! News.
Exception to the rule … Talking to E! News, The Bachelor & # 39; s Ashlea Harvey admitted that he was allowed to call home while filming the hit reality show
"I do not think any reality show or any human being will eliminate children from their parents, no matter what the situation is."
From mothers to small children, Ashlea said she was in regular contact with her son, nine-year-old Jayden, while Dasha, 32, used to call her son, Leon, five.
Ashlea told E! News found it difficult to be away from home during filming, especially knowing that his son was "struggling" with his absence.
And although she does not regret having appeared in the series, I wish she had been more honest about her role as a mother.
Going alone … The single mother has a nine-year-old son named Jayden, whom she says she "fought" to be away from
Ashlea said that if she could do it all again, she would not hesitate to tell Nick Cummins and the other contestants about his son.
"It was not myself part of my experience at the mansion, so I had trouble opening up and letting go of my entire personality, which I think put me in a delayed connection with Nick," he told E! News.
Making the call: Ashlea said that the contestant and single mother Dasha Gaivoronski was also allowed to make phone calls home
Taking pictures on Instagram shortly after being removed from the show, Ashlea praised the 30-year-old single woman for understanding that her heart was finally at home with her son.
"He accepted my life abroad, I was grateful and excited when I shared the news that I was a single mother with a beautiful 9 year old little man who is my whole world … [sic]& # 39; she wrote.
"I left the mansion tonight, but it was a mutual feeling that I shared with Nick, I wanted to go home with my little man, so I was grateful that he understood and sent me home."
