Married at First Sight contestant Madeleine Maxwell opened up about her brief but memorable time on season 11 of the hit reality show.
The physical medium and actress, 30, bizarrely broke down in tears after seeing a herd of cows during her honeymoon with her husband Ash Galati.
During the infamous episode, Madeleine was devastated when she saw the cows, after eating beef the night before.
Sales manager Ash, 33, was left baffled and admitted he couldn’t understand her emotional outburst.
However, on Wednesday, Madeleine explained to Yahoo Lifestyle who had been vegan and vegetarian on and off for several years.

He also claimed that a lot of context was removed from the scene, saying it all started after a conversation in the car the day before.
—So we were driving towards Slaughterhouse Road. And it came about because, obviously, we’re talking about slaughterhouses, at the time, I was taking medication for my skin and I needed the healing to happen very quickly. So I ate meat, not red meat, but beef,” he told the publication.
“And so it was a topic of conversation that made me really aware that I was about to be with nature, with cows, and that kind of connection would probably arise again,” the actress continued.

Madeleine explained that her emotional reaction was also fueled by the producers, who moments before had asked her about a previous relationship.
The Home and Away actress acknowledged that seeing the cows increased the “guilt” and “shame” she was already experiencing in relation to her ex.
It comes after Madeleine revealed why she never attended the explosive meetings.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia about the absence, Madeleine said she simply didn’t “align” with Married At First Sight and wanted nothing to do with the show after her dramatic exit earlier this season.
“I chose not to go to the meeting because I didn’t feel aligned with the production itself,” the former Home and Away actress said cryptically.
“The production itself was somewhat contradictory to what they sell in Australia.”
