“I didn’t want to deal with the reactions”: former bachelor Matt Agnew reveals that he struggled to cope with social media recoil after breaking up with Chelsie McLeod
Former single Matt Agnew broke his silence about his life after breaking up with Chelsie McLeod.
The astrophysicist, 32, revealed to author and comedian Rosie Waterland, on her podcast Just The Gist, That he was so worried about making the split announcement on Instagram that he asked a friend to post it for him.
“I was afraid of it. I put my words together and that was something that I paid a lot of attention to making sure I conveyed my feelings correctly, “he said about the position.

“I actually had a friend posted because I couldn’t do it myself,” he admitted.
The scientist revealed that his friend also dealt with his Instagram for a long time after the break-up announcement was made in December.
Matt said, “I didn’t want to make comments, I didn’t want to deal with DMs and things, and I’m really glad I did.”

“Everyone says don’t read it (the comments), and you can do it 99 percent of the time, but you have that one percent, that one moment of weakness and you read something and you capitulate completely.”
He said he was leaning on his friends to help him manage his Instagram “until things are settled and I could live a normal life again.”
Elsewhere in the podcast, Matt said he was devastated by the split and said, “That’s life and that’s dating, and relationships sometimes don’t work but it’s an experience.”

“You try to find all the positive things you can find about it, but the experience certainly helped me grow as a person,” he added.
Matt’s candid discussion about his life after the show appears on his scientific show. Matt Agnew’s Guide to Beyond Earth Life at the Adelaide Fringe Festival between February 14 and 23, with the exception of February 17.
During the one-hour show, he will discuss all things about the solar system and the galaxy and hold a question and answer session with fans.
Touring this year with her new show, Kid Chameleon, Rosie will perform one show in Canberra, followed by performances at the Adelaide Fringe Festival, Brisbane Comedy Festival, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Perth Comedy Festival and Sydney Comedy Festival.
