Zach Shallcross proposed to Kaitlyn ‘Kaity’ Biggar during the season finale of The Bachelor that aired Monday on ABC.
And he did so with a large diamond ring from jeweler Neil Lane.
The rock was so big that it shimmered on camera when they were cuddling on the beach in Thailand.
The 26-year-old Orange County, California native hand picked the ring himself.
It weighs more than three carats and has a heavy weight, as it was set in platinum, according to the statement the people.

‘They were engaged!’ exclaimed Kitty as she lifted her huge, sparkling engagement ring from Lynn.
The ring is a show.
“It’s like a huge disco ball,” Biggar told People.
It has a central oval cut diamond set on a triple sided diamond band surrounded by a halo of round diamonds, at each location.
People added that the custom Neil Lane ring is set in platinum and also has a gallery set with over 150 smaller diamonds, making the piece a roughly 3.10 carat.
“It’s heavy, isn’t it?” Shallcross said to Biggar.

“When it came time to pick out a ring,” Lynn said, “it was the oval in all its glitz and glamor that Zac felt best represented Katie. It was interesting to see her reaction. I wish them a life full of joy and happiness.
Zach said, “Look at that rock!”
“It’s very cute,” said Kitty.
Zack then offered his last kitty a rose and she accepted.
They drank champagne on the beach and got into a small boat, which carried them away.
There was also some sadness about the show.
Zack sent home Gabriela Gabi Alniki, 25, after breaking the rule of not having sex with her in the Fantasy Suite.
Then the show kicked off with Arielle Frenkel, 28, of New York City, whom Zack met live in front of a studio audience after she was eliminated in last week’s episode.

Zack admits to Gabby and Katie that he broke his vow not to have sex in the Fantasy Suite, but doesn’t tell Ariel who finds out by watching on TV.
‘I am really in pain. It really hurts to find everything on TV, when other people do, with a partner with whom you have shared so many intimate moments. I was really disappointed in the way the whole week was handled. ‘I was disappointed with the way I was left completely knowing nothing about Zack,’ said Ariel.
Zack apologized to Ariel and said there was no excuse for his behavior.
The finale then flashes back to the pre-recorded events in Thailand where Zack is reunited with his family, including his parents Megan and Chapman and his sisters Payton and Sammy.
Kitty met Zack’s family first and gushed about him to Megan.
He’s a really cool guy. Like, really. I feel very safe with him. He is there for me. And I didn’t get that. And like, you know, we didn’t have the nicest trip. I mean, there’s another woman here, too.

I asked Zack’s sisters if she was ready in case things went wrong.
It’s going to be heartbreaking and it’s going to be very difficult, obviously. I honestly didn’t think I could find someone so amazing. ‘I just want him to be happy and follow his heart,’ said Kitty.
“Oh,” Peyton said.
Katie told Chapman that she was ‘very much in love’ with Zack and they hugged.
Zack and Katie had a date in a Thai jungle.
“It scares me because I don’t know what’s going to happen,” Katie admitted.
Gabe and Zack went on a beach date which many viewers watched in silence as the network’s broadcast was having audio difficulties.
They got cozy on the beach and Zack admitted he had a “very difficult decision”.
I can see what’s to come. I’m tired of doubting myself, Gabe said in a confession, I’m tired of feeling like I don’t know if I’m enough?
Gabe asked him what he needed and Zack said he was still trying to figure it out.
He also falls in love with Kaity. ‘He left with a full heart and one of us left with a broken heart,’ said Gabi.
Gabi arrived for his last rose party in a gorgeous yellow dress and was dropped off in a car through thick mud.
“Oh, and f*** no. That’s a really muddy spot. You shouldn’t be dragging in there. When it really matters, when the kitty arrives, don’t do it to her.”
Jessie greeted Gabby and asked her how she was feeling.
“It’s like I just know what’s going to happen,” Gabe said.
Jesse wished her “good luck”, but Jesse wasn’t feeling it.
‘I have a gut feeling,’ she said, ‘and I think if it were me, I’d know it was me.
Zack recounted their time together and told Gabi that falling in love with her had made him a better man.
‘I know. Gabe told him, you don’t have to say that.
Zach continued the breakup talk, but Gabe told him to stop again.
“I’m sorry,” said Zach.
‘decent. I knew she was coming. I knew it was coming. What I don’t know is why don’t you tell me when you do know, Gabe said.
Zack denied that he knew in advance that Katie had chosen him.
I don’t need it. I don’t need an apology. I do not need it. I don’t want it and I don’t need it. ‘I really wish nothing but the best for you,’ said Gabe.
Zach said goodbye to Gabby before she got into the car and drove away.
I don’t care to talk about it. I just want to go home. so stupid. That was insulting. ‘You’ve been nervous now all this time,’ said Gabi in the car, ‘why? What really bothers me is that I knew that. When you speak your intuition, you must listen to it.
Then Gabi appeared on the live show and one of the audience shouted: “We love you, Gabi!”
Jesse said their breakup was “heartbreaking” to watch.

Gabby criticized Zack for sharing her decision to get intimate and said she felt ashamed.
“I wish you had just sent me home and saved me from all the pain that just went on,” Gabe said.
Zack admitted he was “totally wrong” and said he had no intention of harming Gabi.
Gabe still looks hurt as Jesse said they were pressed for time.
“I know that very soon you will find the love of your life,” Jesse assured Gabe.
Katie was then shown in a white sleeveless dress with a high slit in Thailand where she was greeted by Jesse.
“I have literally been waiting for this moment for years,” Kitty said.
Zack did a little misdirection and told Katie he could no longer say he was falling in love with her because she seemed worried.
Because, Kayty Lynn, I love you so much, I couldn’t… You are my world. The love I feel for you, Zack said, is something I could never have imagined, and something I’ve often thought in my life that I would never deserve.
He then declared that Kitty was his “best friend” before he proposed to her.
Zack and Katie are then shown in front of a live audience and reveal that they will be spending some time in New York together.
But right after that, I pack up all my stuff and head to Austin. We’re moving in together this summer,” said Zack, who worked as a sales account manager in Austin before joining the Bachelor franchise.
Zack said they are considering getting married in 2025.

Jesse congratulated Zack and Katie and then shared a sneak peek at the upcoming season of The Bachelorette starring Charity Lawson, 26, of Columbus, Georgia.
The clip showed Charity about to meet her suitors for the first time and Jessie revealed that the first guy she was going to meet was someone she already knew.
Charity is shocked when her older brother Nehemiah exits the limo and Nehemiah reveals that he will be disguised as a “secret brother” looking for her.
The Bachelorette will premiere June 26 on ABC.
