According to stories from Harmoni’s parents transmitted by WJBK, there was one case in which Harris confined Harmoni and her 1-year-old son to a bedroom for an extended period, allegedly to consume cannabis with an acquaintance. The situation took a horrifying turn when Harris, noticing that Harmoni had vomited on herself, reacted with anger.

To further aggravate the situation, Harris allegedly confessed to law enforcement officers that, in a fit of rage, he subjected Harmoni to severe physical abuse. Wayne County Deputy Prosecutor Jennifer Douglas told WDIV that Harris is accused of pouring boiling water on the girl and inflicting a violent blow to her head against her bathtub.

The next morning, Harmoni’s mother, Paris England, was faced with a horrific scene when she found her daughter dead, a moment she recounts with deep sadness, telling WJBK that her daughter was “gone” upon her arrival. Harmoni was later rushed to the hospital, where her death was confirmed.
