A baby is in a critical condition in hospital after suffering injuries following a fall while in a stroller.
The baby is believed to have fallen from a height while still in the stroller at Mount Compass, 60 kilometers south of Adelaidearound 3 pm on Wednesday.
The baby is believed to be less than a year old and was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries after emergency crews were called to the scene following frantic triple-0 calls.
Relatives are currently holding a bedside vigil at the Adelaide Women’s and Children’s Hospital, the Adelaide Advertiser.
Witnesses, including family members, reported seeing the baby, whose sex was not revealed, suffer serious injuries during the fall.
Paramedics, specialists. MedStar emergency physicians and CFS officials worked for hours to stabilize the baby before he could be airlifted to the hospital.
The incident is believed to be an accident. without suspicious circumstances.
