Azealia Banks says she will now vote for Democrat Kamala Harris over Republican Donald Trump in Tuesday’s US presidential election, after previously saying she would vote for Trump.

The 33-year-old music artist cited Trump’s alliance with tech billionaire Elon Musk as a key factor in her decision to change her vote in a series of lengthy tweets on Monday.

“I truly believe that keeping Elon Musk away from any kind of political power in the United States equates to whatever issue is on the table here,” the New York City native said. “You have to be a complete idiot to think that idiot cares about anyone or anything other than himself.”

Banks said she believes Musk “has already been given too much taxpayer money” and “allowing him to ascend to any position of political authority is very dangerous.”

She criticized Musk’s ethics and business tactics several times, adding that “you don’t become the richest man in the world by honesty and good character.”

Banks did not give an enthusiastic endorsement of Harris, calling the vice president “stupid and incoherent” and describing her running mate, Tim Walz, as “trash.”

Banks said she was reluctantly endorsing Harris “even though (she) is the only Democratic candidate who has not (campaigned) actively in a primary.”

Banks described Harris’ path to the Democratic presidential nomination as “the most undemocratic shit ever,” adding that it “really says a lot about her supporters’ lack of common sense.”

Banks, who has been open about her disdain for the Tesla founder in the past, again quoted Musk in her conclusion, saying that she is “voting for Kamala Harris tomorrow” as Musk “doesn’t belong anywhere near American politics.” .

Banks in November 2023 said she planned to vote for Trump and told him The standard that she felt “much safer” where “everyone carries a gun.”

On Monday, Banks also criticized Trump’s affiliation with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., whom she called a ‘zombie,’ adding that his potential position as ‘health minister’ was a ‘disgusting and stupid depraved party.’

Banks also said that Trump had put too much pressure on China, as the United States is “not going to…become the self-sufficient national manufacturing power that he dreams of”; and that he had been “DECEPTIVE” in his stated immigration ambitions.

He said that while “we are on the brink of two major wars with four nuclear powers involved.” America, Iran, Israel and Russia… the average American is too sick/obese/distracted/transgender to fight a war and win.’

Banks advised Harris to “pay attention and catch up” when he was elected.

“Please don’t get caught ignoring you, sister,” he said. ‘Make us proud. REVIEW THAT WEAK ECONOMIC PLAN** for black men and direct it towards black women, we are the social, cultural and economic backbone of American black society and if anyone needs unforgivable loans and free marijuana to stand up to the bulls*** …It’s us.’

She added: ‘And please, in 2028 get some *real* black women with intellects to campaign with you. Meg the Stallion and Cardi B’s endorsements were fucking horrible. Don’t ever embarrass us like that again, sister. May the force be with you, niece.
