An Australian journalist was left heated after an awkward encounter with WWE star Austin Theory.

Theory threatened to ‘beat up’ The West Australian editor-in-chief Anthony De Ceglie during the press day ahead of Elimination Chamber.

The WWE star was at the newspaper’s offices for an interview with the sports department, in the presence of De Ceglie.

In a clip that has since gone viral on social media, De Ceglie can be heard telling Theory that wrestling is “fake” and not as “difficult” as sports like Australian rules football or rugby league.

‘You brought me here and you’re going to talk to me like that?’ The theory said.
