A high school sports announcer sparked backlash after being caught on a hot microphone making lewd jokes about suicide and soccer moms.
Toby Moore, an NFHS Network pundit, made the comments while covering a high school game in Kansas between two girls’ soccer teams and accidentally left his microphone on during halftime.
Talking to an assistant in the room, He went on a five minute tirade. saying he wanted to jump out of the press box because the students were playing so badly.
The conversation escalated from there when he and the other person, who has not been identified, agreed that the ‘advantage of calling high school football’ was being able to leer at ‘soccer moms.’
“Fuck yeah, baby, up, baby,” the men said as Brittany Spears’ hit ‘Toxic’ plays in the background.
Unaware that their conversation was being broadcast to the public, they pointed out to a woman in the crowd that they could “feel her butt from here.”
During a recent high school football game in Kansas, a commentator suffered an awkward mistake by making a series of lewd jokes about suicide and soccer moms while thinking his microphone was off.
In images shared for the first time by Horrible adMoore began his sorry episode by criticizing the high school players’ performance in the first half.
‘Oh my God. God, was that first half as ugly as she thought? he said, seeming annoyed by how he felt the need to refrain from criticizing the players on air.
“That game didn’t have any flow,” Moore continued. “It’s a high school game and you can’t say, ‘What the hell was that?’
After the other person chimed in saying he could highlight the players’ skills, Moore said he would only do it in public for college games.
‘Actions have consequences. It’s my policy. It is beneath my dignity to criticize high school players. I’ll try and do it subtly, but I’ll just say this game fails,’ he said.
Moore commented that the low-level play caused his “mind to flip the ‘kill me now’ switch about 30 minutes in,” adding, “I just want to do a header from the top of the press box.”
‘Unfortunately, it’s too low, it wouldn’t kill me… It’s like they’re not even trying to get through. They’re just throwing the ball down the field. A little technique will be nice. What the hell are they teaching these kids in practice? Is incredible.’
After condemning the high school students’ abilities, Moore followed up with a lewd exchange with the other person about being distracted by soccer moms next to the games.
Commentator Toby Moore (pictured) apologized after the clip of his mic episode went viral, saying he was sorry for his “tasteless” and “inexcusable” comments.
At one point, Moore went from criticizing the performance of high school girls to making crude jokes about “soccer moms” in the crowd.
‘An added bonus of calling high school football? Women’s Football? For high school? Soccer moms,’ she said.
When the other person apparently agreed, he singled out a woman in the crowd.
“Fuck yes, baby, up, baby,” he said. ‘The one in front of us? Let’s see if he can rip it off at once… I can’t see his legs, but I can feel the hit from here.’
“She has nice curves,” the other person added. “Here also her ages are pleasant.”
Ironically, Moore concluded their conversation by noting that they would “get in trouble” if anyone heard their comments.
“By the way, this conversation never took place,” Moore said. ‘We would get in trouble. I would never have had this conversation if… he was sitting in that chair. We’ve been around a long time and we know what we’re doing.
‘Okay, I think we’ve gotten it all out of our system. We can turn the microphone back on and let it work.’
Footage of the conversation was initially captured by a parent, who then sent it to Awful Anusing, the outlet claimed.
Moore acknowledged that he was the expert on the clip and issued a statement to the outlet apologizing for his “tasteless” comments.
“I would like to apologize to the Rose Hill and McPherson schools, players, coaches, families and communities for my comments last Saturday,” Moore said.
‘They were tasteless, stupid and unforgivable. Those comments did not reflect the tremendous season and hard work both sides put in during the year. Thank you to KSHSAA and NFHS for allowing me the privilege of streaming games on your network.
“I sincerely and deeply apologize for my hurtful and distasteful comments and I apologize to those who were hurt by my words.”
It is unclear if Moore was punished for the episode. DailyMail.com has contacted NFHS Network for comment.
