Singer Mitch Tambo and his wife Lea are expecting their first child together after they tied the knot last month.

The former Australia’s Got Talent star and his wife were spotted in Sydney’s Haymarket on Thursday ahead of his performance on ABC’s Q + A program.

The pair looked defeated as they walked through town hand in hand.

Mitch was wearing a black tank top and ripped jeans with red and black sequin details over the tears.

He paired his look with combat boots and accessorized with see-through glasses.

Meanwhile, Lea showed off her pregnant figure in a white mini dress showing off her growing baby bump.

She added a denim jacket to her look and matched her husband by wearing a pair of black boots.

During the walk Mitch stared sweetly at his wife before calling her in for a kiss.

They were later seen waiting outside their hotel and while Lea was checking her phone for updates, Mitch put his hand on her stomach.

Later that night Mitch appeared on ABC’s Q + A program, sharing his thoughts on Australia dealing with Indigenous issues.

He made a passionate plea, saying, “ I think it’s important that we train teachers, we train teachers and get to the kids because the reality is that we have more opportunities there to build capacity, build empathy and build a heart focused on hearing our story.

“ It’s not to point fingers and I’m not getting out of that position because I want to bring us all together so we can heal. I cry for healing for my people.

He shared his hope that Australians would no longer turn their heads and open their hearts and grow in compassion.

Mitch concluded, “We are in the last hour and we need each and every one of you from every course of life so that we can travel together to a greater future.”

The audience flocked to Twitter to applaud Mitch, one of them wrote: “What a legend. Speaking the truth about power. ‘

Another said, “What can Question Time be like #qanda?” while a third said, “Australia needs to grow up.”

Mitch and Lea were married in April in a beautiful ceremony in Tamworth.

The couple incorporated their respective cultural traditions: Lea’s West Papua heritage and Mitch’s Aboriginal culture.

Mitch rose to fame in 2019 when he won the Australia’s Got Talent jury with his native rendition of John Farnham’s You’re the Voice.

Guest judge Natalie Bassingthwaighte pressed her golden buzzer at the time.

Colleague Nicole Scherzinger was just as excited and said to Mitch, “I respect you so much for preserving your culture and have given it a voice.”
