Australia’s best mattress of 2021 revealed – including Koala, Sealy, SleepMaker and IKEA

A mattress-in-a-box has been voted the best in Australia for 2021 after hundreds of shoppers voted for their favorite brands on the market.

Homegrown furniture label Koala beat stiff competition from the likes of Sealy, SleepMaker, King Koil and IKEA and was crowned the number one mattress brand in the annual Canstar Blue judgement.

More than 800 consumers were asked to rate the mattresses based on comfort, support, sleep quality, durability, value for money and overall satisfaction.

Of the mattresses reviewed, Koala took the lead after achieving a perfect five-star rating in all categories – including comfort, sleep quality and value for money.

With more than 25,000 five-star reviews online, many shoppers claim that the mattress offers a good night’s sleep all year round and that it “basically feels like sleeping in a luxurious five-star hotel-worthy bed.”

Koala mattresses — with prices ranging from $780 to $2,700 depending on size — differ from most brands in that they are sold boxed and arrive at your door rolled and vacuum-packed.
