An influencer, mother of four, took care of her young daughter while police investigate her over accusations that she faked the little girl’s brain tumor by drugging her.

The prominent Queensland mother raised $62,000 in GoFundMe donations after revealing the baby’s alleged fight for life and launched the appeal in June.

But hospital workers are believed to have raised the alarm with police after the mother’s online updates about the boy’s surgery did not match his actual treatment.

Now the boy’s father has called his partner a “monster” after being alerted to the accusations and the police investigation. The family cannot be named for legal reasons.

“For what it’s worth, I had no idea what (the mother) was doing to (the child),” the devastated father said in a social media post on Monday.

‘I pushed for those surgeries because in my heart I felt they would help.

‘I didn’t realize that (the girl) was being drugged all the time, which caused her symptoms to be what they were.

‘I do the best I can to love and protect my children. I should have done better for them. “I’m sorry I couldn’t protect (the child) like I should have.”

The GoFundMe appeal has since been withdrawn. Daily Mail Australia has contacted GoFundMe to see if the hundreds of donors will be refunded.

While the couple was previously active on multiple social media platforms and briefly switched to paid subscriptions, their accounts are no longer updated.

On Tuesday, Queensland Police confirmed their investigation in a statement to Daily Mail Australia.

“Police are aware of reports of harm to a one-year-old girl,” a police spokesperson said.

‘The Queensland Police Service took action to protect the child and launched an investigation.

“As this is an active investigation, it would be inappropriate to comment further.”

A GoFundMe spokesperson said they had a “zero tolerance policy for misuse of our platform.”

“Our Trust and Safety specialists are aware of the allegations and are investigating as part of our standard due diligence process,” the organization said.

‘This includes cooperating with police investigations.

“While the investigation is ongoing, no further funds can be raised or withdrawn.”

Daily Mail Australia has contacted both parents for comment.
