The moment a man walking his dog was caught on camera berating two drivers for blocking traffic after they were caught in a minor fender bender.
The heated argument broke out on Liberty Street in Enmore, in Sydney’s inner west, and the man threatened one of the drivers saying he would dismantle his car.
A local captured the altercation as it unfolded and shared the footage on Instagram on Friday with social media users divided over the interaction.
Some called the man a “hero” for defending other drivers stuck in traffic, while others accused him of going too far with his outburst.
The heated argument broke out on Liberty Street in Enmore, in Sydney’s inner west, and the man threatened one of the drivers to dismantle his car.
The video showed the man walking his dog on a trail when he passed a blue and red hatchback that was stopped and blocking traffic.
The driver of the blue hatchback could be seen taking photographs of the accident as the man yelled at her to move the car to the side street.
Another driver told him “she’s not moving, mate” as she was seen taking more photos of the accident, prompting the man to go on an expletive-laced tirade.
His rant became a spectacle for locals and passersby as residents watched from their balconies.
He pointed down the street and noted the “hundreds of people” the driver had inconvenienced with traffic jammed along the street.
The woman responded as she approached the driver’s side.
“I swear to God I’ll start taking your damn car apart,” the dog walker said.
Several social media users praised the man and called him a hero for standing up for other drivers.
‘Ohn on behalf of everyone else Sydney Driver, thank you,” one wrote.
“The thought of moving out of the way, allowing traffic to flow and improving their own safety never crosses their mind.”
“I feel the guys frustration… They have a little trick that causes minor damage and stops right where the accident happened,” wrote a second.
“If your car still works, go to a side street.”
A third added: “Threatening to dismantle the car is where he became my hero.”
Other users were not very amused when the man raised his voice and made the situation more aggressive.

“He may be right, but he did it completely wrong – he was yelling at someone who wasn’t a threat to him and it didn’t help the situation either,” one wrote.
“Men don’t talk to women like that,” another wrote bluntly.
One user noted that he could have approached with kindness, as some people “can’t stand it after a joke.”
“I highly doubt they were doing everything they could to break into 100 cars,” they wrote.
