An Australian woman says she will quit her job and buy a house after winning a $21 million lottery windfall this week.
The woman, from Nerang in southeast Queensland, won the $21.16 million Lucky Lotteries jackpot on Monday night after purchasing a ticket on The Lott app.
‘This is a joke? “My God,” the woman said when they told her about her prize.

‘I’ve always thought, ‘maybe one day it’ll be my turn’ but nothing prepares you for this. This completely changes life.
An Australian woman who had been struggling to buy a house can’t believe her change of fortune after winning $21 million in the lottery.
‘It’s so hard to believe I’ve won the jackpot and will have $21 million in my back pocket.
“I had no idea I had won anything until you called me.”
The winner said she “didn’t know where to start” spending her windfall.
When asked how she would use her new fortune, the winner admitted she was overwhelmed by ideas.
‘I’m supposed to leave my job in a couple of weeks, but now that I think about it, I might leave tomorrow. Honestly, I could stop working forever,” she stated.
‘I’ve also been trying to buy a house for a while, so this will definitely help me secure a place I can call home.
‘This award is huge and will change my life completely. Thanks thanks.’
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is $1 million for Wednesday’s draw 1682, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now over $2.06 million for Thursday’s draw 10856.
In 2023, 117 Lucky Lotteries first prize and jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $20.6 million.
