Australian UFC star Robert Whittaker made an emphatic statement to the rest of the middleweight division on Sunday morning, stopping Ikram Aliskerov in the first round.

Whittaker, 33, once again showed why he is one of the best in the 185-pound division, demolishing his opponent in less than two minutes.

The former champion landed a chopping right hand to stagger Aliskerov, who followed up with a trademark right kick that barely missed its mark.

Whittaker then closed the show with a right hook that left the previously undefeated Russian slumped against the cage.

Commentator and former middleweight champion Michael Bisping was impressed.

“Unbelievable… Robert Whittaker does it again and he does it with style,” he said.

‘At its most devastating, it is an absolute monster. That was perfect and that was Robert Whittaker’s trademark right there. He knew he had him hurt.

‘He proved once again that he is one of the best we have ever seen. “He is one of the best in the world, it’s not just words with him.”

The victory will surely bring the Australian closer to another shot at the middleweight title.

Whittaker noted afterward that he could even back for another fight at UFC 305 in Perth if necessary.

“I’m healthy, I have a good heart, let’s go,” he said.

‘I told you, I told everyone, I’m the boogeyman, I’m the best in the world and the most dangerous man in this division.

Whittaker told fans afterward that he is the most dangerous man at middleweight.

Australian boxing fans loved every second and took to social media to congratulate him.

‘Absolute legend of the game. I would love to see Bobby get another shot at the title.
