Samantha Stosur announced that she became a mother last month after her partner Liz Astling had a baby.
The 36-year-old announced on Instagram on Monday that she and Astling welcomed Genevieve to the world on June 16.
“Life during the coronavirus has been challenging in many ways, but personally it was one of the most exciting and happy times of my life,” Stosur wrote.

“Mommy and Evie are doing well and it is so great to be at home with both of them.
“We are absolutely in love with this little bundle and roll with the happy chaos.
“We can’t wait for what’s to come and watch little Evie grow up … though we hope not too soon.”
Stosur, who won the US Open in 2011 and has six Grand Slam doubles to her name, including last year’s Australian Open in partnership with Chinese Zhang Shuai, is currently 97th in the world rankings.
Stosur has not indicated whether she will return to tennis when events resume on August 1 for the first time since the season was postponed in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.
