Australian hurdler Michelle Jenneke suffered a nasty fall during the 100m heats on Wednesday morning.
The 31-year-old took part in the third heat and made a good start on the first two obstacles before entering the third on her right leg.
She lost her balance immediately after hitting the obstacle and was thrown forward, landing heavily on her left side.
Jenneke quickly stood up and attempted to overcome the next obstacle, in the corridor lane to her right.
However, there was almost a second disaster as he missed the pace needed for the hurdle and kicked it down, but was able to stay on his feet and continue the race.

She knocked over the obstacle but fell after losing her balance and landing hard on her side.
This ended any chance he had of advancing from the race to the next round of obstacles.
Jenneke then knocked over the next obstacle, but was able to stay on her feet and continue.
He was able to finish the race and will have a second chance in the hurdles repechage.
He was able to cross the finish line and as a result of finishing the race he will take part in the repechage later today, meaning he has a second chance at qualification.
Despite finishing the race in a different lane than where she started, the Australian will not receive a disqualification.
This is because the lane in which the athlete finished the race had long since passed her and Jenneke did not interfere with her race.
Jenneke won silver at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympic Games and the 2016 Australian Athletics Championships, qualifying for the Rio Olympics.
He has also won hearts with his signature warm-up dance before races.
One version of the video had 27 million views on YouTube and made headlines around the world.
Before the Games she recorded a personal best time of 12.65, a time that would have allowed her to qualify for the next round without having to go through a play-off.
She ended up in the lane of one of her competitors, but will not receive a disqualification since she did not interfere with her race.

Jenneke is Australia’s second fastest female 100m hurdler behind Sally Pearson and has won hearts with her signature pre-race dance.

That time makes her the second-fastest Australian hurdler in history, behind only Sally Pearson, whose 12.28 in 2011 remains the national record.
His heat was won by American star Masai Russell, who finished with a time of 12.53.
