‘I felt like I had to run a marathon to get anything from her’: Australian radio host reveals Amy Schumer was the worst celebrity interview she’s ever done

Australian radio host Katie ‘Monty’ Dimond has revealed that her chat with American comedian and actress Amy Schumer was one of the worst celebrity interviews she’s ever done.

During her KIIS FM show this week, The 15:00 pick up, Monty said Amy was difficult to talk to when she “silenced” during a press tour Down Under for her 2015 film Trainwreck.

Describing the film as “amazing,” Monty said it was difficult to get good sentences from Amy, now 40, as they sat down for a 15-minute conversation.

“I got time to warm her up and we had a good chat, but it was one of the hardest interviews I’ve ever done,” Monty said.

“I walked out sweating… I felt like I’d run a marathon to get something from her, she was silent.”

Monty’s co-host Kate Langbroek agreed.

“I walked out sweating… I felt like I ran a marathon to get something from her, she stopped,” Monty said.

“A lot of Hollywood people do this, it’s like mate, nobody pushed you to do the publicity, this was your idea and that was a breakthrough role for her,” Kate said.

“Last year you were just another chubby blonde who joked that you didn’t have the right figure to fit in Hollywood… It doesn’t make sense.”

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to a representative of Amy’s for comment regarding this story.

It comes after Amy made headlines for joking that Emily Blunt and John Krasinski are having a “marriage of convenience.”

Amy had started her post by telling her 10.5 million followers that she recently saw A Quiet Place II and said she was glad she saw it in person rather than showing the feature at home.

The actress wrote: ‘I loved every second of @aquietplacemovie! even better than the first one that blew me away. Great to be in a cinema!!’

The Trainwreck star went on to claim that the film’s lead actress and director didn’t take their relationship seriously before noting that the film was still worth watching.

“I’ve said for a long time that I think Emily and John are having a sham marriage for the publicity. But I still think you should see it this rainy weekend,” Amy joked.

“I've been saying for a long time that I think Emily and John are having a fake marriage for the publicity. But I still think you should see it this rainy weekend,

The Office star John responded to the joke earlier this week and caught it.

The actor-director posted a note in the comment section that read, “Thank you Amy!…for blowing up our entire wedding spot.”

The Office actor and his 38-year-old wife have been romantically linked since 2008, when they first started their relationship.

Before dating her now-husband, Blunt was connected to Michael Buble, whom she dated for three years.

The actress and Krasinski announced their engagement in August 2009 and they tied the knot in July.

The two later welcomed a pair of daughters named Hazel and Violet, aged seven and four, respectively.
