An Australian actor has shared his devastation at losing his home in the Los Angeles bushfires.
Neighbors star Benjamin Rigsby shared an image on Instagram on Friday of the remains of his home, which was burned down leaving nothing but a charred staircase.
‘My heart is absolutely and completely broken. Our home no longer exists,” he wrote next to the front image.
The Queensland-born star also posted a link to a fundraising site where you are requesting donations.
“Hi, I’m Belinda, Ben’s dear friend from Australia, and I’m trying to help Ben and Daren with as much emergency relief funds as possible since their home was destroyed in the fires that occurred this week in Pacific Palisades,” reads the charity page.
‘The staircase in this image led to his house. There’s not much more I can say. Fortunately, both were absent at the time and are physically safe.

‘TOSince this is emergency aid, the funds will be used for anything they need after this loss: food, shelter, clothing, vehicles, anything they need.’
As of Friday afternoon, the artist had managed to raise around $31,000 as part of his appeal.
Benjamin, based in Los Angeles, has starred in important films such as Alien: Covenant and Ford v. Ferrari.
He briefly starred in the Australian soap opera Neighbors in 2011, where he played David Sheridan.
At least 10 people have died as catastrophic fires rage in Los Angeles for the fourth day in a row as police make a series of arrests over looting and arson.
Many celebrities have seen their multimillion-dollar mansions razed as the fire spread to the Hollywood Hills and Calabasas, prompting criticism of city officials who have been blamed for failing to adequately prepare for the disaster.
The Calabasas fire, called the Kenneth Fire, was allegedly caused by an arsonist, who was arrested by police.
While night curfews have been introduced to crack down on looters.

As of Friday morning, more than 10,000 structures have been burned, with a total of 29,053 acres of land burned in one of Los Angeles’ most horrific disasters to date.
It comes after Jestinta Franklin joined a friend whose home was completely destroyed in the devastating Los Angeles fires.
Taking to Instagram on Thursday, the AFL WAG revealed she was “heartbroken” by the news that her friend Sasha Strabe’s family home had been razed to the ground in the horrific Eaton fire, north of Pasadena.
The former Miss Universe Australia, 33, shared a heartbreaking photo showing the remains of her friend’s house, which had been completely destroyed by the fire.
“Heartbroken for the beautiful @sacha_strabe and her family, a dear long-time friend,” Jesinta captioned the sobering image.
Continuing, Jesinta revealed that the house had been a labor of love by the family who had been renovating the property over the past few years.
‘Watching his journey with this house, the love he put into the renovations he made little by little. “The joy I saw it brought you,” he wrote.
“To hear that he is gone leaves me heartbroken for all of you.”

Jesinta went on to reveal that she planned to help her friend in any way she could, sharing a link to a GoFundMe page set up for her devastated family.
“If you know Sasha, you know that she is kind, loving and generous,” Jesinta said.
“It’s hard to know what to do or how to help during these times, but donating to this little family makes me feel like I can at least play a very small role in helping in such a terrible situation for so many people.”
At the time of publication, GoFundMe had raised more than $86,000 (USD) for the family.
Jesinta also shared a short clip filmed by a friend who lives in Los Angeles. Taken from his rooftop, the terrifying clip showed the Los Angeles skyline engulfed in flames.
“Our friend sent us this from his rooftop in LA,” he captioned the clip.
