Australian influencer sues as controversial TikTok star Sophia Begg, 19, sues jewelery brand owner following their collaboration
An Australian TikTok star sued the owner of a popular jewelry brand after they collaborated together.
No stranger to controversy, 19-year-old Sydney influencer Sophia Begg recently filed a civil case in Gosford Local Court against 21-year-old owner of jewelery brand Aurora Collective, Isabella Grace Shirley.
Neither the motive nor the outcome of the court case are known.
Sophia, who goes by the online nickname Sophadopha, had previously promoted Aurora Collective jewelry on social media in October 2021 and July 2022.
Aurora Collective had also re-shared Sophia’s posts promoting the brand at the time.

The jewelry brand often enlists influencers to spread the word about its designs on social media, including Jadé Tuncdoruk, Sammy Robinson, Amelia Marni, and Isabelle Mathers.
According to their website, Aurora Collective was established in 2020 by Isabella, then 18, during the Covid lockdowns.

Sophia, who goes by the online nickname Sophadopha, had previously promoted Aurora Collective jewelry on social media in October 2021 (left) and July 2022 (right).
Meanwhile, Sophia has generated controversy on several occasions in recent years.
In April, the blonde was forced to apologize after dressing up as the stingray that killed Steve Irwin for an Australian-themed costume party.
Sophia’s choice of outfit had sparked outrage among her TikTok followers, who called her out for being “disrespectful” to the Irwin family.
