The former reality star, 41, shared a photo of her pet on Instagram on Tuesday and captioned it with some heartbreaking words.

“We asked for your help and our German Shepherd Rocky was stolen or released on Thursday around 12 noon in Woodward Park, Liverpool,” he began.

The singer asked her fans to contact them if they had any information about the dog’s whereabouts.

‘If you’ve seen it or know where it is, we’d love to get it back. Any help is appreciated.’

‘How devastating. I sincerely hope he comes back safely to you,’ one person wrote, with another adding: ‘I hope you find your fur baby. ‘I can’t imagine how you feel.’

Paulini rose to fame in 2003 as a contestant on the first season of Australian Idol and was left stunned after judge Ian ‘Dicko’ Dickson humiliated her on national television.

In the shocking episode, Dicko told Paulini to “choose more appropriate clothes and lose a few kilos”, sparking a wave of outrage.

“When Dicko made that comment it was like a wake-up call. “What he said to me was hurtful, he made me think: the music industry encompasses every aspect of your life,” he told Daily Mail Australia last year.

Although twenty years have passed since that fateful night, the singer admits that her confidence suffered a long blow from which it took a long time to recover.
