Meanwhile, Drea, 25, shared that the elimination hasn’t hurt her as she already has several projects in the works: “I already have music lined up, music videos ready to come out,” she said.

Kiani revealed that she hasn’t got anything set in stone yet, but revealed that she has loads of songs she’s written that are ready to record.

The young women were beaten in the bottom four by powerhouses Dylan Wright and Denvah Baker-Moller, who produced incredible performances to retain their places.

The incredible Top 8 kicked off the stunning episode with a joyous performance of Rush by Troye Sivan, before Ricki-Lee, 38, performed her latest song On My Own.

Across Australia, 3.3 million votes were cast, placing Dylan, 30, Denvah, 24, Drea, 26, and Kiani, 17, in the bottom four.

Judges Kyle Sandilands, Marcia Hines and Amy Shark were all particularly shocked to see Dylan placed in the bottom four after his stunning performance on Sunday.

Drea and Kiani failed to follow through with their covers of Can’t Get You Out of My Head by Kylie Minogue and Feeling Good by Nina Simone respectively.

Australian Idol continues on Seven and 7Plus on Sunday evenings at 7pm.
