A Landsborough man swapped his morning cereal for champagne to celebrate his “mind-blowing” $50 million win in last night’s Oz Lotto draw.
The Sunshine Coast winner claimed the only division one winning entry nationally in Oz Lotto draw 1573, drawn on Tuesday 9 April 2024. He takes home the full $50 million jackpot.
The Queenslander is the third biggest winner of any lottery game so far in 2024.
While The Lott officials attempted to contact the new billionaire last night, the winner didn’t discover his good luck until this morning, when he saw several missed calls.
Although entry is registered in an online account, The Lott officials were unable to contact the winner this evening due to the contact details provided to deliver the life-changing news.

In addition to the lone division one winner in last night’s Oz Lotto draw 1573 on April 9, 2024, 881,769 winners from divisions two to seven who raised $19,069,871.70. This includes 14 second division winners, who each pocketed $49,961.40.
