A driver shared his desperate note with a parking officer after receiving three tickets in one week.

A viral photo revealed the handwritten note begging for mercy because the car’s parking sticker had expired but a new one had not yet arrived in the mail.

“Please stop giving me tickets,” he said.

‘I’ve already got three this week. Obviously I’m already broke.

“I’ve ordered my new sticker. It’s in the mail. I can’t get it to arrive any faster. Have mercy, you’re ruining my life.”

The parking ticket could have been imposed for having an expired or damaged license plate.

Australia also offers some drivers free parking stickers in their residential areas that they may have missed on their car.

Parking officers typically have strict quotas to meet when it comes to handing out tickets, which could explain the multiple warnings.

Another UK driver revealed he could be fined for the same offence every four hours in certain parts of the country.

Many were surprised when the parking officer wrote several tickets in the same week.

“You usually don’t get the second or third ticket because there’s a grace period to go to traffic court and prove you did the paperwork to get the first ticket overturned,” one said.

“Seriously, you already wrote the ticket, give us time to make the correction,” another told the officer.

“I shouldn’t have to register the same car every year,” one man complains.

One driver revealed: ‘I ordered my labels by mail and it took 34 days to get here.’

But others were not so understanding.

“If people had a whole year to plan ahead and know when their tags would expire… oh wait,” one said sarcastically.

“Here’s an idea: stop driving the car until you get the sticker and then they’ll stop giving you tickets,” added another.

“He needs a ticket for obstructing the view with a stupid sign,” one man wrote.
