The Massachusetts-born pop star, 30, and her husband Daryl Sabara stayed in Australia for several months in 2023 while she filmed her role in the Channel Seven singing competition.

‘My baby was inside me when I was in Australia. His name is Barry Bruce and he is perfect. He’s my little Aussie baby and I’m so happy,” he told Nova’s Smallzy’s Surgery podcast this week.

Meghan said she took inspiration for her son’s name from an iconic animated film set in Australia: Finding Nemo.

Among the stars of the 2003 film is the late Australian actor Barry Humphries, who voiced the character Bruce the shark.
