A man doused in petrol and set on fire with a blowtorch in an alleged arson attack has been identified.
Jai Brebner was set on fire after a brief argument with two men outside his home in Baldivis, south of Perth, on December 30.
He suffered burns to 60 percent of his body and remains hospitalized in critical condition two weeks after the attack.
Chilling CCTV footage shared by Western Australian police showed the men approaching Brebner’s home, one armed with two axes and the other holding a clear liquid and a blowtorch.
It is understood Mr Brebner knew the men.
After a brief conversation, one of the men threw the clear accelerant on Mr. Breber and used the blowtorch to set him on fire.
The flames quickly engulfed the father, who tore off his shirt and fled from the attackers.
Both men then spent some time at the front door before entering Baldivis’ home and fleeing the scene.

The “extremely confronting and extremely worrying” images were released over the weekend by WA Police in an attempt to find one of the alleged attackers, David Stitson.
Following investigations, Stitson was arrested by the Gang Crime Squad at a hotel in Hay Street, Perth, at around 7.15pm on Monday.
Stitson’s alleged accomplice, 24, was arrested last Wednesday, January 8, in Rockingham.
They were each charged with one count of intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
WA Police said horrific injuries were inflicted to the “entire front of the victim’s body and head”.
“He is expected to endure a large number of surgeries, up to 15 surgeries, and will be in hospital for several months,” Detective Sergeant Anthony Thompson said.

Police arrested two men, a 24-year-old and David Stitson (pictured), over the alleged arson attack.
‘I have to reiterate that he is in critical (condition), there is still danger to his life.
“Our lines of inquiry were inhibited by the fact that the victim was in a coma and could not account for what had happened, so we had to use other forms of investigation to establish exactly what happened.”
Sergeant Thompson described the attack as “extreme”.
“In the footage, the second man is armed with what appear to be small axes, it’s extremely confrontational… and that’s why we’re taking it to the highest level,” he said.
“We want to resolve this immediately for specific risks and also reassure the community that we are protecting them.”
