Alex Carey and Glenn Maxwell reached centuries in record-breaking, 212-run partnership to send Australia to a thrilling three-wicket victory in a one-day series decider against England
Glorious centuries of Alex Carey and Glenn Maxwell lifted Australia to a dramatic three-wicket victory over England on Wednesday as the touring squad reached the one-day international series 2-1.
The pair scored 212 points for the sixth wicket after Australia fell to 73-5 after a stiff 303-point goal in the final game of the series.
Jonny Bairstow scored 112 when England recovered from losing their first two wickets on the first two balls of the game and scored 302 for seven in their 50 overs after winning the toss.
Australia lost their first five wickets cheaply, but fought back brilliantly to win with two balls left and win the series against the world champions.
