Popular TikTokker Anthony Voulgaris (pictured) claimed that office workers practically don't work

A popular TikTokker has boldly claimed that office workers do ‘shit’ and said he was forced to quit his desk job due to boredom.

Anthony Voulgaris, who has nearly 600,000 followers, posted a complaint online last week claiming that office workers actually do too little.

‘Here you have a controversial opinion. I truly believe that office workers, at least 90 percent of them, don’t do shit. “They do shit,” he said.

“Look, maybe they send one or two emails, they work a little bit but not a lot.”

Mr. Voulgaris said many office workers delude themselves if they think “their job is hard,” and admitted that when he worked in a corporate job he walked four hours a day.

Despite the harsh verdicts, Voulgaris stated that the comments did not come “from a place of judgment” but rather “from a place of respect.”

“Good for you, that’s the way to live life,” he said.

To back up his claims, Mr Voulgaris said a friend had just sent him a reply to an old message which said: “Sorry I haven’t responded over the holidays, but I’m back at work so I have time to respond.”

Voulgaris claimed he left an office job because he was too bored.

“I would pester my bosses to give me more work,” he said.

And they said, “Don’t worry, you’ve only been here five months.”

“You’ve only been here five months?” Give me more work!’

He said he was unemployed, that he walked for hours to kill time and his bosses didn’t even notice.

Her fellow TikTokkers admitted they could relate.

‘How dare you? While watching this from the office,’ one person joked.

“Most corporate jobs are just a bunch of people using pretentious language to make simple tasks like sorting papers and sending emails seem important,” said another.

While some commenters on Voulgaris' post agreed that they had little to do during office jobs, others said they worked

While some commenters on Voulgaris’ post agreed that they had little to do during office jobs, others said they worked “without a break.”

‘The higher up you go, the less real work you do. It’s just about meetings, buzzwords and conversations about how to get things done,’ was another observation.

“I’ve noticed that at every company I work at, 20 to 30 percent of the people seem to do all the productive work and the other 70 percent are CRUISING,” wrote another.

However, comfortable office work was not everyone’s experience.

‘I want one of those “I have no work to do” office jobs. “My job is not difficult, but it is absolutely relentless,” one person wrote.

‘At my last office job I would do nothing for DAYS. And now I have a new job and it’s non-stop. There is no middle ground with companies,” said another.

‘???????????? ??? I want one! I’m always pushed beyond capacity and end up in the doctor’s office.’

It comes after Sydney TikTokker Shez on Monday criticized working from home as a “failed social experiment” in another divisive video.

More than a third of Australians are still working from home post-Covid, despite 82 per cent of bosses admitting they would prefer staff to return to the office full time.

Shez even went so far as to label working from home as unproductive.

“You can’t tell me you’re more productive working from home,” he began.

“Be honest with yourself: Are you really working or are you being more productive by folding laundry?”

Shez called working from home a “killer of corporate culture” and “productive” office chats.

“There’s absolutely nothing like walking up to someone’s desk and asking them a question that can be answered in two seconds,” he said.
