- The 28-year-old was visiting the Alps of the small European country.
An Australian man disappeared while walking through Albania with his passport and belongings found in the hostel where he was staying.
Cameron Twiss, 28, from Adelaide, was last seen five and a half weeks ago when he set out on a hike from the town of Valbona in the north of the country.
Albanian authorities have launched a search operation and his brother has traveled from Australia to the southeast European country to help them, but no trace of Mr Twiss has been found.
The enthusiastic traveler had set out on a popular hiking route connecting Valbona with the nearby town of Teth on October 13.
The 10-hour hike follows a 17-kilometer route that includes a mountain pass through a remote area of the Albanian Alps where there are no roads.
